Job Description
Reporting to the HR Manager, the main responsibilities are as follows:
- Work as part of the HR team to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure HR is able to support the business objectives.
- Partner with managers to strengthen and develop management capability in all HR related activities.
- Provide advice and guidance on performance management and talent development activity.
- Coordinate training and development programmes liaising with management teams and external learning providers.
- Assist in the development and improvement of career development and succession planning activities.
- Support organisational development and business improvement initiatives including employee engagement.
- Develop Policies and Procedures and facilitate training to ensure the effective management of Human Resources within legislation and best practice.
- Support the business with general people queries and give advice according to company guidelines and legislation.
- Management of Employee Relations matters including: Absence Management; Disciplinary and Grievance issues; Capability and Performance Management.
- Assist in managing recruitment processes and develop strategies to enhance and make improvements.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will:
- Have demonstrable generalist HR experience at the HR Officer, HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor level.
- Have proven experience working as part of a generalist People Team with prior knowledge and an interest in Learning and Organisational Development activities.
- Be an excellent communicator able to work with all levels of the business.
- Be proactive with good organisational skills and able to manage multiple priorities.
