Organisational Development Specialist

Overview

Our client is an international organisation and a market leader in their field.  The company is entering a phase of positive transformation and change which has created a new opportunity for an experienced Organisational Development practitioner to join the Global HR team on a permanent basis.  Reporting to the HR Director, this role will play a pivotal role in the development of key HR initiatives to enable the organisation to keep people capability and performance front and centre.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work as part of the wider Global HR team to achieve HR and OD strategies in line with the business objectives.
  • Examine, analyse, and report on specific team and people development needs with a focus on leadership, engagement, recognition, performance management, collaboration, diversity and inclusion and communication.
  • Propose and execute possible solutions to real issues.
  • Research best practices for leadership development and implement value-add leader-specific and other talent development programmes.
  • Review succession planning and talent mapping processes to better promote internal talent development globally.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert on assigned programmes to act as the advisor and coach to key stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Act as the Project Manager for a variety of HR and OD change programmes including: digital automation; talent development; leadership development and organisational design.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an experienced HR and OD professional with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in the business.
  • Have demonstrable experience in researching, proposing and executing a variety of HR and OD programmes.
  • Be commercially focused.
  • Have expertise in a wide-range of HR topics including leadership development, talent management, succession planning and change management.
  • Have excellent Project Management skills.
  • Ideally have experience gained within an industrial environment.
  • Be able to travel both domestically and internationally.
